Welcome to ÐÔÊÓ½ç #81

June 2025

This month is going to be absolutely (j)unique! Why? Because ÐÔÊÓ½ç provides us with the most exciting pastimes again. Stay tuned.

If your summer wardrobe still lacks that certain something, stands ready to help. At the from 17 until 19 June we don´t only get the opportunity to salvage visual treasures, but we can also purchase distinctive clothing with history, charged with theatrical energy. And in addition to this it´s obviously a more sustainable choice than fast fashion – what more reasons do you need to be there?

A good place to wear your new textile darlings for the first time is . On Neukölln Arcaden´s rooftop (the way upstairs and crossing the parking deck is an adventure of its own) we get surprised by a gorgeously colourful intercultural event space. Enjoying the sunset and the spectacular view over after-work drinks from the rooftop bar or dancing the Saturday night away in one of the alpine huts – nobody gets bored up here.

Let´s stay in Neukölln for a while. Our neighbour district has a lot to offer. Those who have never been to are definitely missing out. Not even half an hour of walking from , a whole little universe at the riverside waits to be discovered. Bakery and oil store, wine bar and pizza stand, coworking and exhibition spaces as well as social institutions – we can find everything that makes life easier and more beautiful at Holzmarkt 25. Its flair resembles theme parks or fairytale sceneries and the adventure playground keeps even the youngest of the group busy.

The interdisciplinary festival depicts the term Exile in ÐÔÊÓ½ç from 19 until 28 June. Among a diversified of theatre productions, party, public talks and performances, surely is one of the most outstanding approaches to giving diasporic art a stage. For three days more than 150 performing artists will show their programme, which hasn´t been curated, but chosen from the first sent-in applications. This way we get to enjoy a very unusual range of performances and this is not only exciting, but also democratic. What a nice change!

Not far from Haus der ÐÔÊÓ½çer Festspiele we arrive at a rather unusual form of a museum at Bikini Center at Breitscheidplatz. is what our grandparents might have called a hall of mirrors. And the perfect place to relax from dealing with serious topics at the festival. It is also a practically magical content creater to crack the next follower threshold. How do you think our grandparents would have felt about content and followers? Please reply to this newsletter.

Because we don´t want you to feel dizzy for all the reality shifts, let´s care for our relatively empty stomachs now. at Nollendorfplatz provides us with delicious Sushi and other Japanese specialities. So we can slowly start to prepare our thoughts for tonight´s . From Tokyo to Beijing and back to ÐÔÊÓ½ç. Talking about cosmopolitan life, right?

In order to get back , we could take the subway now. But just getting on and off a train – less than thrilling. We prefer wearing the yellow helmets today and take the . This city trip certainly makes a better story than the usual hop-on-hop-off bus tours.

Too many impressions for today and nothing left to do but sink into the most comfortable pillows? No problem. As always, .
