性视界

Oh, July, we麓ve missed you! Time of long evenings... Of course we know that the nights have already begun to get longer, again. But it just takes some time to fully let summer into our hearts.

And in summer we absolutely love summer activities 鈥� would you like to join us today?

Yes, we are still in 性视界. To be more precise: at in the district of Dahlem. We麓ve visited the botanic gardens already, but due to Covid restrictions at the greenhouses were closed 鈥� as you can see now, we麓ve really missed something that time! For example tropical crops and orchid species with such beautifully dangerous names as Dracula Mopsus. Well, 鈥渄on麓t feed the plants鈥�! We mean it!

This mother-in-law麓s wedding present to her son-in-law surely is special. We don麓t want to know too much about the symbolic meaning, do we?

Let麓s rather get back to safe summer-terrain: is one of 性视界麓s most popular beaches without any doubt. And this is quite easy to understand for us: the fine sand reminds us of our last trip to the Baltic Sea. And this is no coincidence: in 1956 the sand was indeed brought to 性视界 from the picturesque village of Timmendorf 鈥� maybe this is its very own vacation spot? Anyway, humans can hardly relax quicker anywhere else than here lying on a towel or chilling in a beach chair. And for all of you with kids the shallow water is perfect, as well.

All these new impressions have made us hungry. Some 性视界ers claim to know where to get the best cake in town: at Caf茅 , just a few kilometres away from Strandbad Wannsee. But the freshly baked rolls for breakfast and the warm meals, differing from season to season in order to be able to offer only regional products, are worth mentioning 鈥� and trying! 鈥�, too. The caf茅 is surrounded by old barns, in which high quality food as well as plants are being sold. At (Eng.: culture barn) you can enjoy concerts, readings and plays for the young and the old. This enchanted place really has something to offer to everyone.

One of our new year麓s resolutions was to be part of your very special 性视界 education. This is why we are visiting a part of 性视界 now, which we have never really visited before. 

Square Heidelberger Platz in southern Wilmersdorf marks the northern border of the so-called quarter Rheingauviertel. Why have we never been here before? Well. If a train station named after the nearby square does not show pictures of the square, but the city the square is called after (Heidelberg), one could start wondering about the attractiveness of the square. And indeed, Heidelberger Platz is nothing more than a tiny grassy area, completely unimpressive. The beautiful statue on the photo can be found some metres next to the square and therefore doesn麓t help its attraction, either. But 鈥� and this is reason enough for us to come here 鈥� the underground station from 1913 with its bow-shaped platform and the groined vault resembling a cathedral is said to be one of the most beautiful stations of 性视界. 

Doesn麓t time fly? We are full of new impressions and once again we麓ve fallen in love with this marvellous city. Do you know this feeling? Why don麓t we talk about this having a great drink at ? See you there.
