In Germany there´s an old children´s song saying: 

“April, April, it does what it wants.“ 

But we don´t really feel like seeing that saying fulfilled. So let´s once again do, what we want, shall we?

For example we really want to visit , Festival Internationale Neue Dramatik. From 19 until 30 April once again will invite international theatre productions to have their German premiere on the stages of the renowned theatre in ÐÔÊÓ½ç´s west. There will be plays from eight countries of three continents of the world, open discussions and a party until May to end with – I think we can all something for our taste here!

Whoever feels more like exploring ÐÔÊÓ½ç´s contemporary art scene at the end of April: welcome back to ! From 28 until 30 April more than 50 galleries invite us for guided tours, discussions with artists and getting some new impressions. There´s an overview of the participating galleries by district if you follow . Maybe you would like staying close ? ÐÔÊÓ½ç takes part with numerous galleries, as well.

After enjoying all this art with our heads and spirits, the body calls for attention, now – to be more precise: our stomach. Today we head towards Güntzelkiez to visit . This place should make all of us happy – Scones and Shakshuka are equally as tasty here as homemade lemonades and cakes. The choice is almost as great as the team´s hospitality.

Oh, you´re still hungry? Perfect timing! Just a few hundred metres farther north we get to at Winterfeldtmarkt – a tiny café and store selling fantastic cinnamon buns, made the traditional way, vegan or with chocolate. You should try at least one of them, since we´re here already!

Oops, we almost forgot the kids! And we all know they aren´t usually satisfied for long looking for the Easter bunny. Especially not in ÐÔÊÓ½ç, where the probability to meet him or one of his colleagues is quite high.

Maybe this holiday is a good opportunity to visit the with them. Especially spring often brings cute offspring from time to time. And if that should not be the case, there´s always the – fortunately a large sign tells you, when you get where the inhabitants like to be touched. If you mix that up, sometimes the animals´ reactions can be a bit… biting.

has been an institution for cabaret and concerts for years. But once you´ve arrived at the mirror tent, you literaly have to remind yourself that it doesn´t offer time travelling and you´re still in the 2020s, not back in the 1920s. Only the state of the art stage equipment and the possibility to pay with card wakes us up from our golden twenties dream.
