Afro-Arabic Jazz Conceptions

's album 鈥�Lisan Al Tarab: Jazz Conceptions in Classical Arabic鈥� is an exploration of classical Arabic music within the frameworks of Jazz. The result, a genre often dubbed as 鈥淎fro-Tarab鈥�, is a performance which journeys from early 1900鈥檚 Egypt to contemporary New York. 

The repertoire will include reinterpretations of classical Arabic 鈥�muwashahat鈥�, Jazz standards as well as original compositions based on edgy traditional Arabic rhythms and melodic modes.
