James L. Lemley, MD, FAAFP, MBA, CPE

Dr. James Lemley, a native of Thomson, Georgia, is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia where he obtained his MD degree and completed a residency in Family Medicine. Dr. Lemley is a board certified and fellowship recognized physician in family medicine. He has been a managing partner of McDuffie Medical Associates since 1988.
In 2007 Dr. Lemley received his MBA from Troy State and subsequently attained his Certified Physician Executive degree from the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Lemley has been in active family medicine practice since joining McDuffie Medical Associates and cares for a variety of adult and pediatric medical conditions largely in the outpatient setting. He has privileges at McDuffie Regional Medical Center, University Hospital, and the Medical College of Georgia.
In May of 2009 Dr. Lemley received a three year certificate of recognition from The American Diabetes Association and National Committee for Quality Assurance. This voluntary program is designed to recognize physicians and other clinicians, who use evidence-based measures and provide excellent care to their patients with diabetes.
Dr. Lemley is active in the Richmond County Medical Society, the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, the Medical Association of Georgia, the Thomson Rotary Club, and the First Methodist Church of Thomson. He is a founder and is on the board of the McDuffie Medical Mission Clinic, a charity medical clinic.
