Yes! Our favourite season has finally begun. Our natural allies of course are lakes, swimming pools and the riverside. But that doesn´t mean that culture and art are taking a summer break. On the contrary.

Before digging deeper into this subject, here comes something to look forward to: If you come to visit us from 12 July on, our beloved X-Berg Duck awaits you in her summer dress. In order to stay cool in summer, she put on a lighter, very fresh flavour gown. X-Berg Duck stays X-Berg Duck, served in five fabulous courses, but we just say: rice paper, lemongrass and sorbet. Sounds good, doesn´t it? Just as the vegan version, by the way. But simply from reading no one has managed to be satisfied yet. So it´s better to for now.

In Blerin – oops, ÐÔÊÓ½ç, sorry – we actually don´t need to go to the museum to admire art. But of course we can. For example during the . Until 14 September the city will be enriched by several experimental exhibitions. This year the large presence of city foxes inspired the organisers to the topic of fugitivity and its many facets. But the numerous artworks are definitely worth more than just a quick glance.

Speaking of art in ÐÔÊÓ½ç´s streets: it´s always a good idea to look up here. Even if we already know our way around. What awaits us on the street signs isn´t always art, but more often than we think it would be. And it´s always interesting. Even when leaving the (we reported) beside.

Needless to say there are many forms of street art to discover. The open-air gallery at Bülowstraße we´ve already visited. But taking a peek into the little side streets from there is also worthwhile. And brings us closer to our next destination.

Who´s up for a mini excursion to Turkey? Then off to Schöneberg we go! On the every Wednesday and Saturday mainly Turkish stand owners promote their selection of fruits and vegetables as well as non-food articles loudly. Those of you who don´t feel a desire to buy at the moment can also just enjoy the view of the colourful, artfully stacked displays. 

"Culture doesn´t take a summer break", we said earlier. That´s generally true. But don´t forget that the public theatres do go on a – well deserved – summer holiday. will provide us with some of the city´s best plays until 21 July. Check their for the numerous 

If we are spontaneous today, we can still enjoy the last day of . At well-known former café we will find the immersive fashion exhibition , with contemporary works by nine designers as well as a show of second hand pieces of clothing.

For today´s grand finale we can now enjoy for the fourth time! This is mainly fun, but also extremely important. This year´s motto "Nie wieder still" (Eng.: never silent again) should inspire all of us, queer or not, to constantly raise our voices in favour of diversity and against discrimination and marginalisation. This is fun on the weekend of 19./20., when once again invites us to the largest event of its kind in Europe. on 26 July combines fun with protest. Be there or be square. 

Ok, enough input for today! With these ideas we´re surely not going to get bored this July. And for a better, so-to-speak scientifically reliable, comparison of , it is something like our gourmet obligation to once again try our classic signature dish tonight. See you downstairs.
